Probably the best Electrocompaniet power amp from their golden age. Unparalleled low output impedance resulting in Damping Factor of thousands. Will drive ANY speaker load, including highly inductive B & W Nautillus. Preamp has a number of inputs and remote controller.

No faults were present in either of these units and only cosmetic work has been done. Pre-amp had the volume pot cleaned as it started to crackle occasionally. Very much in original condition. Very clean inside.

For sale is Electrocompaniet ECD1 Up-sampling DAC which has the same electronics as found in their EMC-1UP flagship CD player.

Features:

• Inputs: AES-EBU (balanced, Professional 110Ω), Toslink (optical) and 2 x SPDIF (digital coaxial)
• Analogue outputs: Balanced, dual differential (XLR) and Single ended (RCA)
• Digital outputs: SPDIF (RCA) and Toslink (optical).
• It has the same Cirrus Logic chipset as in Lampizator's Lampucera DAC, which he considered at the time to be the 2nd best DAC ever.
• This unit of course, has much better, Electrocompaniet's dual differential balanced output which is renowned for having valve-like sound but with transistor-like slam.

Foe sale is C.E.C. CD2100 CD player.

This player is in very good condition and other than normal service of belt replacement and limit switches clean, it had its dim display replaced. Additionally, the mod stopping the damage to the new display just fitted was done (as per factory change sheet).
Inside, it is very similar to the costing 3 times as much, legendary Roksan Caspian.
Unlike most C.E.C. transports which have very poor and mangled output (including their top units like TL-0 and TL-1 - please see Lampizator pages for pictures), this unit has quite a good one with rising and falling edges being almost perfectly vertical on its SPDIF digital coaxial output
Comes with original remote controller.
Headphone output is of quite reasonable quality too. Probably the best that I have seen in a CD player to date.

MHZS CD88E. Highest quality, Top Loading, Fully Balanced Tube CD Player.

This is probably one of two or three best Chinese CD players ever made.
I know this is a big statement because there were some fine machines designed and built there, but for the sheer engineering and sound quality - at least for me - this is probably tops among all the players I have seen in my workshop.
MHZS had some bad press over CD88E, after one of the Lampizator's readers found out that their claim to have designed and built a new DAC chip proved to be false. But the rest his article was nothing but praises.
